Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor HSE policies, procedures, and safety plans on-site.
• Conduct regular safety inspections, hazard identifications, and risk assessments.
• Investigate incidents, near-misses, and accidents, and prepare detailed reports with root cause analysis.
• Deliver safety inductions, toolbox talks, and HSE training sessions to site personnel.
• Ensure compliance with occupational health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards.
• Maintain HSE documentation, records, and statutory registers.
• Liaise with regulatory bodies, clients, and project management teams on all HSE matters.
• Promote a positive safety culture and drive continuous improvement in HSE performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree, HND, or equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline.
• Professional HSE certifications are required e.g., HSE Levels 1–3, NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in health, safety, and environmental management, preferably within construction, manufacturing or engineering environments.
• Sound knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations and compliance requirements in Nigeria.
• Proven ability to conduct risk assessments, safety audits, and incident investigations.
• Strong communication, training delivery, and interpersonal skills.
• High level of attention to detail and ability to work independently on active project sites.
