KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop and execute a comprehensive cards business strategy aligned with the organization’s overall objectives.
• Lead and manage a high-performing team across product development, marketing, risk management, and operations.
• Drive business growth through innovative product development, effective marketing campaigns, and strategic partnerships.
• Oversee risk management, including credit risk, fraud risk, and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Technology, Operations, and Customer Service, to ensure seamless execution of the cards strategy.
• Analyse market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to inform business decisions and manage P&L, budgeting, and forecasting for the cards business.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and adherence to industry standards while maintaining customer orientation, service standards, and operational excellence.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum of a First Degree in any discipline. Additional qualifications are an advantage.
• 10+ years of experience in the cards industry, with at least 5 years in a leadership role..
• Proven track record of driving business growth and leading high-performing teams.
• Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
• Deep understanding of the cards industry, including market trends, regulatory requirements, and emerging technologies.
• Experience with digital payments, mobile wallets, and data-driven decision-making.
• Familiarity with local banking regulations and compliance standards.
• Proven track record of achieving targets and driving business growth.
