Key Responsibilities:
- Administer anaesthesia during surgical, diagnostic, and therapeutic procedures across various specialties.
- Conduct pre-operative assessments and develop individualized anaesthesia plans.
- Monitor patients throughout procedures, ensuring safety and optimal outcomes.
- Manage post-operative recovery and pain relief.
- Provide critical care support in ICU and emergency situations when required.
- Supervise and mentor junior anaesthesia staff and technicians.
- Ensure adherence to medical protocols, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in hospital committees, quality assurance initiatives, and continuous professional development.
Qualifications & Experience:
- MBBS or equivalent from a recognized institution.
- Member of the West African College of Surgeons (FWACS) or National Postgraduate Medical College (FMCA or equivalent).
- Minimum of 7 years post-qualification experience in Anaesthesia.
- Valid license to practice from the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN).
- Proven expertise in general, regional, and local anaesthesia techniques.
- Strong decision-making, communication, and leadership skills.
