The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fabrication, engineering supervision, and production planning to enhance operational performance and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily steel fabrication, welding, and machining operations to meet production targets.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute engineering projects, ensuring efficient workflow and timely delivery.
- Oversee maintenance and troubleshooting of machinery and equipment to minimize downtime.
- Ensure compliance to quality control standards and production specifications.
- Develop and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
- Train, mentor, and manage technical staff to maintain high performance.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and industry regulations in all engineering processes.
- Collaborate with other departments (e.g., procurement, quality assurance, and operations) to optimize production efficiency.
- Monitor and analyze key performance metrics to drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a steel manufacturing or metal fabrication environment.
- Strong knowledge of welding, machining, and fabrication techniques.
- Experience in production planning and engineering project supervision.
- Hands-on experience with manufacturing equipment and maintenance procedures.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and team management skills.
- Proficiency in design and planning software is an advantage.
- Knowledge of industry safety standards and compliance requirements.
